The Lowe Art Museum offers onsite and virtual experiences to help visitors of all ages discover and explore the visual arts and objects of material cultures. All educational opportunities strive to challenge the visitor to engage in a learning experience, utilizing critical thinking and object-based education. Our goal is to provide a positive museum visit for everyone. Museum staff and trained volunteer guides facilitate guided group egagement experiences.

Adult Groups
One-hour guided tours or virtual experiences are designed to engage visitors through conversation and close looking. A minimum of 10 people are required to book a group tour. Please request the galleries/exhibitions that you are most interested in visiting. Please allow extra time for your group to walk around the museum on their own. University | College Tours
Guided tours or virtual experiences can connect to your class curriculum. Contact the to discuss your specific class needs.

Self-guided experiecnes are welcome but groups are required to make a reservation. Tour Hours Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 – 4:00; Sunday 12:00 – 4:00. Closed Mondays and University Holidays Please note that the galleries are cleared fifteen minutes before closing.


  • University of Miami Groups: FREE
  • Other College Groups: $6 per student
  • K-12 Groups: $6 per student
  • Adult Group Tours: $10 per person
  • Individual Tour Costs: Adults - $12.50 Seniors - $8.00 Children over the age of 12 - $8.00 Children 12 and under - Free Veterans and military personnel - Free

Engagement experiences last one-two hours, unless otherwise noted.

Group Size
Groups of ten or more may be accommodated. Large groups will be divided into smaller groups. Guides will lead groups through the museum, with a focus on four to five galleries. If you are booking a tour and would like to request specific galleries please advise the person who is booking the tour. Chaperones One adult chaperone for every ten students is required. These chaperones are admitted at no charge. Additional chaperones are charged $6 each. Lunch The Lowe Art Museum has a patio where groups can picnic, and the museum is within short walking distance of the University of Miami Student Center food court.
