The Lowe supports PK-12 teachers and students with learning resources, engaging programs, interactive tours, lesson ideas, and professional development.

Organized and implemented by an experienced team of professionals, the Lowe’s educational programs are designed to support self-directed, inquiry-based, object-centered learning goals that hold visitors and their unique needs, interests, desires, and objectives at their core.

Tours

  • The Education Department creates onsite and virtual tours to help visitors of all ages discover and explore the visual arts. All educational opportunities strive to challenge the visitor to engage in a learning experience, utilizing critical thinking and object-based education. Our goal is to provide a positive museum visit for everyone. Our tour method uses questions to engage student understandings and curriculum connections. Trained volunteer guides (Docents) facilitate guided group tours for all ages.

    • K-12 Groups on-site: $5 per student
    • K-12 Groups virtual: $125 flat rate

  • The Lowe Art Museum offers: Mobile multimedia tours, Student Docent Program, Internship opportunities, face to face meeting opportunities to learn about the collection and assist with research, and free admission to the museum.
