The Lowe supports PK-12 teachers and students with learning resources, engaging programs, interactive tours, lesson ideas, and professional development.

The mission of the Lowe Art Museum's Technology and Engagement Department is to foster a learner-centered environment, guided by an inquiry-based approach, that cultivates visual literacy, media literacy, and object-based learning. We are dedicated to empowering individuals to develop a deep appreciation and understanding of art by harnessing innovative technologies and engaging experiences.

Offerings:

Tours

  • The Education Department creates onsite and virtual tours to help visitors of all ages discover and explore the visual arts. All educational opportunities strive to challenge the visitor to engage in a learning experience, utilizing critical thinking and object-based education. Our goal is to provide a positive museum visit for everyone. Our tour method uses questions to engage student understandings and curriculum connections. Trained volunteer guides (Docents) facilitate guided group tours for all ages.
  • Cost
    • K-12 Groups on-site
      • 10-35 students: Free (savings of $175)
      • 36-50 students: Free (savings of $250)
      • 51-70 students: Free (savings of $350)
