This exhibition features fifty-two works by forty-nine leading contemporary artists, all of whom have been active in the global art world for a decade or more. David Hammons, Glenn Ligon, Lorna Simpson, Henry Taylor, Kara Walker, and Nari Ward are among the established practitioners represented in this show, while Jordan Casteel, Jonathan Lyndon Chase, LaToya Ruby Frazier, Paul Mpagi Sepuya, and Vaughn Spann number among the younger artists who are included. This exhibition also highlights an extensive range of media, including oil, acrylic, coffee, staples, embroidery floss, basketball cards, oil stick, Plastilina, glitter, colored pencil, velvet, and feathers.
